Location

Choosing the right location can make all the difference in your photos. Consider a place that has special meaning to you, such as where you had your first date or where you got engaged. Alternatively, opt for a location with beautiful scenery, such as Downtown Evansville, a local park, or even your home!

Additionally, if you need some extra help with choosing a location, no worries!! I provide a location guide to all my clients.

Time

Good lighting is key to any great photo. Most people think that the best time for pictures is right in the middle of the day when it is bright and sunny, however they are WRONG!

The best time to shoot is during “golden hour,” which is the hour just after sunrise or just before sunset. This is when the light is soft and warm, creating a romantic and dreamy atmosphere.

Posing

Posing for photos can feel awkward and uncomfortable. I know this first hand because I feel the same way. However, I promise to do my best to make you feel comfortable and confident during our photo session.

I like to start with some simple poses to loosen up and get comfortable in front of the camera. From there, we can move on to more advanced poses and prompts. I will guide you through the entire process, and we’ll have fun along the way! I also will never make you do something that you are not comfortable. with. Another way that I try to make my clients feel more comfortable in front of the camera is by playing their favorite music or songs.

Styling

When choosing outfits for a couples photoshoot, it’s important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. You should also coordinate with your partner to ensure that your outfits complement each other. Here are some general tips to follow:

Remember, the goal is to capture the love and connection between you and your partner, so wear something that reflects your personality and makes you feel great!

Most Importantly

The most important thing for your session is to have fun! Your photoshoot is all about capturing the love and connection between you as a couple, so I encourage the you to relax and enjoy the experience.
